Planned Road Closures

Milton Interchange Improvement

This scheme will convert the current junction (where the roads from Didcot, Milton Park, Harwell and Wantage join the A34) into a 'hamburger' style roundabout. On 12 January 2015 work began on a 11m scheme to provide additional capacity on the roundabout at the Milton Interchange. One lane will be closed and two lanes remain open at all times around the roundabout.

A34 Chilton Interchange North-facing Slip Roads

The County Council are working with the Highways Agency on a scheme to construct north-facing slip roads to connect the A34 with the A4185 Newbury Road and Hagbourne Hill at the Chilton Interchange. Funding has been secured for the project and construction is in progress..
