Just a short update for those who haven\'t seen the recent news.

At the moment as you leave Wantage on the Grove Road, you go through the traffic lights at the end of Harcourt Road and past a few houses on the right side. Then there is a field which used to have horses in it, the allotments, and a green field behind the Mably roundabout which goes up to the small road to Elm Farm Business Park, after that another green field and then Elm Farm at the traffic lights to Main Street. A nice gap between Wantage and Grove.

Now look 3 years in the future. First you go through the traffic lights at the end of Harcourt Road and past a few houses on the right side. Next there is a large care home with a few private parking spaces in front, followed by the allotments, then a small green area below the Crab Hill houses and a fourth exit to the Mably Roundabout which gives access to the Eastern Relief Road. To the other side of the road will be a new Lidl store with people queueing for the car park at the entrance to Elm Farm Business Park and the extension to the Business Park visible above a small field before Elm Farm at the traffic lights.

OK enough of the fluff. Lidl are about to put in a planning application for a new store and car park in the field between the road to Elm Farm Business Park and the Mably Roundabout. They will have a consultation event in the Old Mill Hall, Grove from 3pm - 7pm next Thursday 20th September. Go along and see their plans and see the website for details http://www.grove.lidl.co.uk/

My only problem is that this will fill the final gap between Wantage and Grove - \"Wansgrove\" here we come!

That\'s enough for now. Thanks for reading

Best wishes
